As I stood up to take a break from wax working, I saw this photo op. The red chips of wax serve as cool confetti of color against the bronze tree lady. It’s messy and tedious work but, I love it. Big smile!...
For me, when I begin a piece of art I catch myself audibly exhale. It’s a feeling of returning home, as I settle into my creative flow. At times, it requires a leap of faith but, this to me is the “dance”.
When I work on a project my intention is to inspire the beholder. To awaken what in some cases may be a dormant inner artist. The flame that lives inside us all, that we were born with can so often be snuffed out through the years. The experience is unique to each individual.
Imaginary or real, expanding my boundaries to find the way something can work is always exciting. It’s through my art that I discover new aspects of myself. Yes, this process of solution out of the unknown can be daunting … but, a beautiful chaotic tapestry of emotions that most of time unfold into a wonderful, fulfilling order. This commitment is a direct path to new and inspiring revelations.
